Con el objeto de disponer de un control y contraste adecuado de toda esta informaci\u00f3n, se decidi\u00f3 gestionarla mediante un sistema de informaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica (gis), de manera que toda ella pudiera ser consultada, actualizada y tratada en su conjunto.  por otra parte una gran cantidad de la informaci\u00f3n contenida en el gis, es necesaria para definir el modelo de flujo y transporte de las aguas subterr\u00e1neas. La introducci\u00f3n directa de todos estos datos en el modelo, conllevar\u00eda un considerable tiempo y dificultad operativa. Para obviar estos inconvenientes se ha desarrollado una particular metodolog\u00eda mediante la cual el modelo accede directamente a la informaci\u00f3n contenida en el gis, reduciendo de este modo el tiempo de ejecuci\u00f3n e incrementando su precisi\u00f3n.  la implantaci\u00f3n de todo este conjunto de actividades en el gis, se realiza a trav\u00e9s de un pc normal. Ello permite simular potenciales riesgos de contaminaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica y radioqu\u00edmica, deduci\u00e9ndose el correspondiente impacto ambiental y las t\u00e9cnicas de control
