En estado adulto vive en el intestino delgado de sus hospedadores y en estado larvario se enquista en la musculatura de \u00e9stos. El hombre adquiere la enfermedad al consumir carne cruda o poco cocinada de los animales parasitados.  esta nematodosis constituye un serio problema de salud p\u00fablica en nuestro pa\u00eds, prueba de ello es la continua aparici\u00f3n de brotes, as\u00ed como las reiteradas denuncias de su amplia extensi\u00f3n en la naturaleza. Una de las prioridades en el control de esta parasitosis es el establecimiento de t\u00e9cnicas de diagn\u00f3stico espec\u00edficas y sensibles. Hasta ahora la detecci\u00f3n de esta enfermedad se ha realizado mediante procedimientos parasitol\u00f3gicos y serol\u00f3gicos, que en muchos casos no cumplen las condiciones de especificidad y sensibilidad que se precisan. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os se han llevado a cabo grandes avances en el aislamiento y purificaci\u00f3n de ant\u00edgenos de inter\u00e9s diagn\u00f3stico para su posterior utilizaci\u00f3n en el laboratorio. De todos ellos parece que los ant\u00edgenos de superficie, excreci\u00f3n-secreci\u00f3n y algunos som\u00e1ticos son los m\u00e1s firmes candidatos. Una alternativa a la purificaci\u00f3n bioqu\u00edmica de estas mol\u00e9culas que supone tiempo y grandes cantidades de material parasitario, es la utilizaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas de biolog\u00eda molecular para la clonaci\u00f3n de dichas mol\u00e9culas.  por este motivo nos proponemos en esta tesis abordar el diagn\u00f3stico serol\u00f3gico de la triquinelosis mediante el aislamiento, purificaci\u00f3n y posterior caracterizaci\u00f3n de ant\u00edgenos recombinantes a partir de una genoteca de cdna de larvas l1 de trichinella spiralis, constru\u00edda en el vector de expresi\u00f3n  -zap y cribada con sueros de conejos hiperinmunes obtenidos por inmunizaciones repetidas con los componentes purificados de superficie de<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
