Se trata de un estudio longitudinal de tres a\u00f1os de duraci\u00f3n por medio del cual se ha seguido la evoluci\u00f3n del proceso de adquisici\u00f3n de cuatro ni\u00f1os desde que comenzaron su contacto con el ingl\u00e9s a los 4 \u00f3 5 a\u00f1os. El objetivo del estudio es dar cuenta de las caracter\u00edsticas sint\u00e1cticas del proceso de adquisici\u00f3n con objeto de determinar: 1) en qu\u00e9 medida dicho proceso se asemeja al de la adquisici\u00f3n del ingl\u00e9s nativo y no nativo en situaciones de inmersi\u00f3n total. 2) qu\u00e9 papel juega el espa\u00f1ol en ese proceso. 3) si las etapas de desarrollo se asemejan a las que atraviesan los ni\u00f1os nativos y no nativos en un contexto de inmersi\u00f3n total. El trabajo se completa con un estudio transversal de interrogativas dirimentes.
