Ramos Alia <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A partir del an\u00e1lisis de los antecedentes precient\u00edficos y cient\u00edficos de los modelos te\u00f3ricos y las investigaciones sobre la atenci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como de los diferentes m\u00e9todos y t\u00e9cnicas de medida del mecanismo atencional, se comprueba la complejidad de este campo de estudio y la diversidad de orientaciones y modelos explicativos, constat\u00e1ndose la falta de un modelo unitario e integrador.  tambi\u00e9n se analizan las limitaciones que presentan los test psicom\u00e9tricos que miden la atenci\u00f3n, de extendido uso en la pr\u00e1ctica profesional.  de esta manera, proponemos, por un lado, un modelo explicativo que contemple la naturaleza de la atenci\u00f3n, entendida como mecanismo de activaci\u00f3n, control y orientaci\u00f3n de los procesos psicol\u00f3gicos. Tambi\u00e9n destacamos las variedades de la atenci\u00f3n, especialmente la atenci\u00f3n perceptiva y la atenci\u00f3n procesual.
