Jose <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En este trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n hemos llevado a cabo un estudio de los capilares sangu\u00edneos del n\u00facleo geniculado lateral dorsal de la rata durante el envejecimiento.  hemos utilizado ratas albinas machos de la raza wistar de 3, 18, 24 y 28 meses de edad que corresponden a adulto joven (que hemos empleado como control), adulto maduro, viejo-joven y viejo-viejo respectivamente. En primer lugar obtuvimos las piezas y procesamos el tejido siguiendo la metodolog\u00eda convencional de microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica para la realizaci\u00f3n de cortes semifinos. A continuaci\u00f3n, aplicamos m\u00e9todos estere\u00f3logicos para el an\u00e1lisis del n. De capilares\/mm2 y de las densidades de volumen, de longitud y de superficie y m\u00e9todos morfom\u00e9tricos para el estudio del di\u00e1metro medio capilar. En nuestros resultados destacamos los siguientes hechos: entre 3 y 18 meses de edad tienen lugar un incremento significativo de todos los par\u00e1metros, alcanzando a los 18 meses los valores m\u00e1s altos.  entre 18 y 24 meses se produce una disminuci\u00f3n, m\u00e1s importante en las densidades de volumen y de superficie (de un 18.75% y 14.93% respectivamente).
