Existen dos tiposde ches: acetilcolinesterasa (ache 3.1.1.7. E.C.) Y butirilcolinesterasa (buche 3.1.1.8.E.C.). En los m\u00fasculos estriado y card\u00edaco, la membrana del sarcolema matiene su integridad debido a una red protectora constituida por d\u00edmeros de distrofina, glicoprote\u00ednas asociadas y prote\u00ednas de la l\u00e1mina basal. La deficiencia de alguna de esas prote\u00ednas produce alteraciones funcionales del receptor nicot\u00ednico y de la actividad de la ache. Los ratones de la estirpe lama2dy homocig\u00f3ticos, no expresan la cadena alfa-2 (merosina) de la laminina, sintetizan niveles normales de distrofina, y presentan fenotipo distr\u00f3fico. La patolog\u00eda queda reflejada por la fibrosis y necrosis de las fibras musculares, unas caracter\u00edsticas histopatol\u00f3gicas semejantes a las de los pacientes con distrofias musculares. El objetivo principal de este estudio fue conocer si la condici\u00f3n distr\u00f3fica afecta a la s\u00edntesis o estructura de las colinesterasas de varios tejidos de rat\u00f3n. Se eligieron coraz\u00f3n, eritrocito e h\u00edgado, ya que aunque el coraz\u00f3n e h\u00edgado expresan laminina. Adem\u00e1s, se han observado cardiopat\u00edas graves en enfermos distr\u00f3ficos, atribuibles a la deficiencia de laminina, lo que lo ocasiona la desorganizaci\u00f3n del eje distrofina-laminina-l\u00e1mina basal. En eritrocito de pacientes distr\u00f3ficos cambia la actividad ache. En h\u00edgado de animales distr\u00f3ficos se aprencian cambios ultraestructurales y modificaciones en la funcionalidad de determinadas prote\u00ednas. En coraz\u00f3n de rat\u00f3n, la actividad buche fue 2,5 veces mayor que la ache. La actividad ache se debe a componentes moleculares asim\u00e9tricos y globulares ligeros, antif\u00edlicos e hidrof\u00edlicos. A la actividad buche contribuyeron principalmente d\u00edmeros y mon\u00f3meros anfif\u00edlicos. La uni\u00f3n a soportes hidrof\u00f3bicos demostr\u00f3 las propiedades anfif\u00edlicas de ambas enzimas.
