Se ha seguido el m\u00e9todo del an\u00e1lisis literario comparativo para estudiar la posible influencia y originalidad que presenta cada epigrama o grupo de epigramas, comparando algunos de ellos con otros pertenecientes a la misma \u00e9poca y con paralelos de la poes\u00eda prehelen\u00edstica. A veces se ha intentado trazar la influencia de estos epigramas sobre la poes\u00eda posthelen\u00edstica. Los epigramas funerarios helen\u00edsticos tratan sobre temas muy variados y presentan diferentes circunstancias y causas de muerte, as\u00ed como una amplia gama de motivos de duelo, consuelo y elogio, demostrando un desarrollo muy importante respecto a la \u00e9poca anterior, tanto en el contenido como en la estructura. Los recursos estil\u00edsticos, lingu\u00edsticos y literarios indican en muchos casos cierta originalidad desde el punto de vista del criterio de la \u00abimitatio cum
