Para ello se ha utilizado la t\u00e9cnica de simulaci\u00f3n en ordenador conocida como din\u00e1mica browniana. Las mol\u00e9culas de pol\u00edmero se han representado a trav\u00e9s de los modelos de bolas y muelles. dos tipos de fuerza se han usado para describir los muelles de estas cadenas de bolas y muelles: hooke y fene. Adem\u00e1s se han incluido interacciones de largo alcance entre los elementos de la cadena (condiciones de vol\u00famen exclu\u00eddo) a trav\u00e9s del potencial de lennard-jones, y de otro potencial puramente repulsivo que denominamos suave. Dos han sido los tipos de flujo considerados: elongacional y cizalla. La tesis ha supuesto un recorrido por el comportamiento de diversas estructuras polim\u00e9ricas de complejidad creciente en este tipo de flujos. As\u00ed se han tratado macromol\u00e9culas lineales en flujo elongacional, macromol\u00e9culas con topolog\u00eda no lineal (estrellas y anillos) en flujo de cizalla, y redes de pol\u00edmero en flujo de cizalla. Para macromol\u00e9culas en flujo elongacional se ha comprobado la aparici\u00f3n del fen\u00f3meno cr\u00edtico conocido como transici\u00f3n coil-strech, esto es, el estiramiento brusco de las cadenas macromleculares cuando la intensidad del flujo elongacional supera cierto valor cr\u00edtico. Adem\u00e1s se ha estudiado la dependencia de dicho valor cr\u00edtico con el peso molecular del pol\u00edmero y con la calidad del disolvente (presencia o no del efecto del volumen excluido). Tambi\u00e9n se ha investigado el fen\u00f3meno conocido como individualismo molecular. de los resultados se observa que el tiempo requerido para que se produzca el fen\u00f3meno de la transici\u00f3n es diferente para cada mol\u00e9cula de una muestra. Se ha estudiado la estad\u00edstica de estos tiempo de transici\u00f3n y la cin\u00e9tica de dicho proceso, obteniendo comportamientos universales (independientes del
