La tesis doctoral contiene sendos estudios: te\u00f3rico y experimental, de un soplete de corte por plasma de aire comercial. El primero es un an\u00e1lisis de las propiedades del soplete tratando el chorro de plasma-gas como un fluido compresible en equilibrio termodin\u00e1mico local. Las rutinas de c\u00e1lculo num\u00e9rico desarrolladas se basan en un algoritmo que permite simular tanto flujos subs\u00f3nicos como supers\u00f3nicos. el estudio experimental recoge un an\u00e1lisis espectrosc\u00f3pico de la emisi\u00f3n luminosa del plasma en el rango del visible mediante un montaje realizado \u00edntegramente en el laboratorio de f\u00edsica de plasmas industriales en la etsi de caminos de la universidad de cantabria. Se desarroll\u00f3 un m\u00e9todo de an\u00e1lisis que permite extraer las distribuciones espaciales de la temperatura de excitaci\u00f3n de cada especie qu\u00edmica detectada y de la presi\u00f3n total en el plasma, cuando la emisi\u00f3n luminosa presenta oscilaciones. Estas tienen su origen en la fuente de alimentaci\u00f3n.  el m\u00e9todo de an\u00e1lisis combina la informaci\u00f3n obtenida con detectores de baja y alta resoluci\u00f3n temporal, para obtener los valores promedio de la magnitud medida junto con su amplitud de oscilaci\u00f3n. La comparaci\u00f3n entre los resultados exprimentales y los obtenidos en la simulaci\u00f3n te\u00f3rica muestran un acuerdo aceptable en general y las caracter\u00edsticas del chorro de plasma
