La incidencia del fenotipo mutador asociado a inestabilidad de microsat\u00e9lites es inferior en la poblaci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola que en otras poblaciones. Esta diferencia se debe probablemente a una diferente etiolog\u00eda del c\u00e1ncer colorrectal en nuestra poblaci\u00f3n.  2. Los pacientes j\u00f3venes con ccr presentan el fenotipo mmp con mayor frecuencia que los pacientes con una edad tard\u00eda de presentaci\u00f3n. Estos pacientes deben someterse a un seguimiento m\u00e1s intenso.  3. Los tumores con fenotipo mmp+ presentan las mismas caracter\u00edsticas cl\u00ednico-patol\u00f3gicas que los descritos en otras poblaciones.  4. Los tumores colorrectales con fenotipo mmp+ presentan mutaciones en el gen tgf-beta rii con la misma frecuencia que los descritos en otras poblaciones por lo que el proceso de tumorog\u00e9nesis puede considerarse equivalente.  5. Se ha detectado mutaci\u00f3n en el gen hmsh2 en el 10% de las familias con cchnp analizadas. Este porcentaje es menor que el descrito en otras poblaciones. esta diferencia puede deberse a una etiolog\u00eda diferente o al criterio de selecci\u00f3n de las familias que se ha basado \u00fanicamente en la historia familiar.  6. La t\u00e9cnica dise\u00f1ada en este estudio para el an\u00e1lisis de mutaciones en el gen hmsh2 resulta adecuada ya que puede detectar los dos tipos de mutaciones m\u00e1s frecuentes descritos en este gen. Adem\u00e1s es m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida que el an\u00e1lisis del adn gen\u00f3mico.  7.
