Dolors Grau Vilalta <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El objetivo primordial de este trabajo es la comparaci\u00f3n entre el funcionamiento de un reactor discontinuo y uno semicontinuo. Para ello se lleva a cabo la modelizaci\u00f3n matem\u00e1tica de ambos, utilizando programas propios empleando el lenguaje fortran 77, adem\u00e1s del simulador isim y el software matlab.  la validaci\u00f3n de los modelos matem\u00e1ticos se efect\u00faa, en primer lugar, a partir de datos de la bibliograf\u00eda. A partir de aqu\u00ed, se realizan pruebas experimentales en una planta piloto con un reactor encamisado de vidrio. las primeras pruebas han consistido simplemente en calentar y enfriar agua, para determinar de los coeficientes de transmisi\u00f3n de calor. Seguidamente se realizan experimentos con dos tipos de reacci\u00f3n, seg\u00fan su comportamiento t\u00e9rmico: la reacci\u00f3n de saponificaci\u00f3n del acetato de etilo, que es poco exot\u00e9rmica, y la reacci\u00f3n de oxidaci\u00f3n del tiosulfato de sodio con per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno, que es muy exot\u00e9rmica.  para la reacci\u00f3n de saponificaci\u00f3n, al ser \u00e1cido-base, se han obtenido los perfiles de concentraci\u00f3n a partir de medidas de ph, que en la mayor\u00eda de trabajos no se presentan, puesto que siguen la reacci\u00f3n s\u00f3lo a partir de medidas de temperatura.  para la reacci\u00f3n de \u00f3xido-reducci\u00f3n se ha estudiado la influencia de distintas variables (flujo de adici\u00f3n, temperatura de adici\u00f3n, concentraci\u00f3n inicial, temperatura inicial, velocidad de agitaci\u00f3n), llegando a la conclusi\u00f3n de que para lograr un buen control de la temperatura en el interior del reactor, es necesario operar de forma semicontinua. Este sistema permite manipular adem\u00e1s de la temperatura de la camisa (\u00fanica opci\u00f3n para el reactor discontinuo), el flujo de adici\u00f3n de uno de los reactivos. El objetivo final del trabajo ha sido lograr optimizar este flujo de adici\u00f3n, para mantener la temperatura del reactor por debajo de un valor de consigna.
