El trabajo incluye la s\u00edntesis, la caracterizaci\u00f3n f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmica y estructural mediante las t\u00e9cnicas habituales, los ensayos de degradaci\u00f3n hidrol\u00edtica y los de citotoxicidad.  la polimerizaci\u00f3n mediante el m\u00e9todo de los \u00e9steres activos de la l-alanina y el \u00e1cido 11-aminoundecanoico proporciona muestras de reducido peso molecular que puede incrementarse mediante post-polimerizaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica. Cristaliza en el sistema r\u00f3mbico (grupo espacial c222 ) dando lugar a una estructura laminar constituida por cadenas moleculares antiparalelas unidas por puentes de hidr\u00f3geno seg\u00fan una \u00fanica direcci\u00f3n. La incubaci\u00f3ncon papaina demuestra su biodegradabilidad, pero su s\u00edntesis compleja y su degradaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica a temperaturas ligeramente superiores a la de fusi\u00f3n reducen considerablemente sus aplicaciones industriales.  posteriormente se sintetizaron poliesteramidas que combinasen las buenas propiedades mec\u00e1nicas de las poliamidas con las biodegradables de los poli\u00e9steres. Concretamente, se sintetizaron mediante polimerizaci\u00f3n interfacial diferentes series de poliesteramidas secuenciales, susceptibles de degradaci\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica. Los rendimientos de polimerizaci\u00f3n y la viscosidad intr\u00ednseca son m\u00e1s elevados cuanto m\u00e1s estable es el dicloruro de \u00e1cido utilizado en la polimerizaci\u00f3n. Todas son t\u00e9rmicamente estables (la temperatura de descomposici\u00f3n es m\u00e1s de 100 grados c superior a la de fusi\u00f3n).  los cristales polim\u00e9ricos presentan una \u00fanica direcci\u00f3n de crecimiento que coincide con la de formaci\u00f3n de puentes de hidr\u00f3geno. Las cadenas moleculares se pliegan seg\u00fan esta misma direcci\u00f3n en el interior de las lamelas. en las distintas series se obtienen diferentes estructuras cristalinas que se interpretan como el
