Sindecano-2 es un miembro de esta familia, expresado en fibroblastos, cuya interacci\u00f3n con el citoesqueleto no ha sido estudiada. Con el objetivo de estdiar las moleculas que pudieran mediar esta interaci\u00f3n y la funci\u00f3n de esta asociaci\u00f3n se desarroll\u00f3 un anticuerpo policlonal especifico contra sindecano-2 llamado b4.  con este anticuerpo se estudi\u00f3 la distribuci\u00f3n subcelular de sindecano-2 endogeno y sobreexpresado en fibroblastos. Se observ\u00f3 que sindecano-2 codistibuye con los filamentos de actina en estructuras corticales de tipo microespina y en fibras de stress. La sobreexpresion de la molecula induci\u00f3 la elongacion de dichas microespinas a filopodios. Por truncaci\u00f3n de los diferentes dominios de sindecano-2 se determin\u00f3 que las cadenas que hepar\u00e1n sulfato y el dominio citoplasm\u00e1tico de sindecano-2 son imprescindibles para este efecto. La coexpresi\u00f3n de un dominante negativo de cdc42(n17) bloque\u00f3 el efecto del sindecano-2.  en el analisis de las proteinas coimmunoprecitadas con b4 se encontraron principalmente dos proteinas de 81 y 53 kda. Utilizando anticuerpos contra los miembros de la familia erm se determin\u00f3 que ezrina y moesina se asocian a sindecano-2. La asociaci\u00f3n es directa y implica la interacci\u00f3n de sindecano-2 con el citoesqueleto de actina. Rhoa induce la interaccion de ezrina con sindecano-2 y de sindecano-2 con el citoesqueleto de actina.  en conjunto los resultados sugieren que ezrina une sindecano-2 al citoesqueleto de actina con la regulacion de rhoa y que sindecano-2  induce cambios en el citoesqueleto de actina que conducen a la creaci\u00f3n de estructuras caracteristicas de procesos de migracion
