Se utilizaron t\u00e9cnicas estructurales como inmunohistoqu\u00edmica simple y doble con microscopia confocal y citospin. todo este trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n llevado a cabo con la t\u00e9cnica de inmunohistoqu\u00edmica nos llev\u00f3 a determinar que los receptores trka y p75 se encuentran en las c\u00e9lulas epiteliales, el trkb aparece en los macr\u00f3fagos situados en la uni\u00f3n cortico-medular, mientras que para el receptor neurotr\u00f3fico trkc nos encontramos expresi\u00f3n en ning\u00fan tipo celular. Adem\u00e1s, en la rata seha estudiado la variaci\u00f3n en la expresi\u00f3n de la inmunorreaci\u00f3n para estos receptores con la edad y hemos observado que tanto el trka como la p75 muestran su m\u00e1xima presencia alrededor de los tres meses de edad y que el trkb aparece alrededor de los dos meses y aumenta su expresi\u00f3n con la edad.  por \u00faltimo, el estudio en ratones manipulado gen\u00e9ticamente para el trka nos ha mostrado cambio morfol\u00f3gicos en el componente epitelial, lo que hace pensar que este receptor puede estar implicado en la organog\u00e9nesis del timo. Todo este estudio sugiere que las neurotrofinas son capaces de actuar a nivel del timo por medio de sus receptores.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
