La autora asocia invariablemente cada motivo con un significado o tema, com\u00fan para varios motivos a la vez. As\u00ed, la distorisi\u00f3n de las coordenadas espacio-temporales por parte de un personaje advierte de su defecutosa moral y su intenci\u00f3n velada de manipular la situaci\u00f3n: la m\u00fasica, el baile, el asiento y la caza conllevanla idea de cortejo amoroso; el peri\u00f3dico, la ventana, el fuego y las vallas o setos marcan la tensi\u00f3n entre un \u00e1mbito dom\u00e9stico de estrechez asfixiante y un mundo exterior que promete satisfacer unas ansias de libertad no permitidas socialmente; el absurdo, utilizado por asuten hasta en diez tipos de contextos diferentes como airete para demoler los sin sentidos de su \u00e9poca, y que  comparte esta funci\u00f3n con la risa y los juegos de palabras, muchos de los cuales s\u00f3lo se hacen evidentes en una lectura en voz alta: la maternidad, la solter\u00eda, los matrimonios mal avenidos y las urbes con motivos estigmatizados por la autoridad narrativa; y finalmente, los nombres de la ficci\u00f3n austeniana, que aportan informaci\u00f3n significativa para la compresi\u00f3n de la trama y de los personajes.  el hecho de que un motivo recurrente se corresponda con un significado establecido posibilita el que el lector trascienda la denotaci\u00f3n del elemento concreto y se centre en su con notaci\u00f3n, proceso de abstraci\u00f3n que se refuerza en lecturas sucesivas de la obra de jane austen acutalizando y adaptando el texo a sus propias experiencias sin variar su mensaje en una fascinante interacci\u00f3n que subyace a las entusiastas adehesiones a la obra de la novelista por parte de receptores de
