Estas propeidades sonla rotura y separaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica de v\u00f3rtices y la aparici\u00f3n espont\u00e1nea de giro en flujos fuertemente convergentes. El objetivo final es tratar de simular estos fen\u00f3menos num\u00e9ricamente, realizar experimetnos y poder dar criterios que permitan predecir y controlar su aparici\u00f3n. Esto es de vital importancia para numerosos procesos ingenieriles donde los flujos giratorios juegan un papel destacado: separados cicl\u00f3nicos, c\u00e1maras de combusti\u00f3n, intercambiadores de calor, etc.  para lograr estos objetivos se han empleado diversas t\u00e9cnicas anal\u00edticas, num\u00e9ricas y experimentales. Se ha desarrollado un c\u00f3digo num\u00e9rico que permite resolver las ecuaciones de navier-stokes no estacionarias y axilsim\u00e9tricas de forma r\u00e1pida y eficaz. Se han realizado experimentos de rotura de v\u00f3rtices en un recipiente cerrado y se han comparado los resultados con simulaciones num\u00e9ricas realizadas conel c\u00f3digo anteior. El c\u00f3digo tambi\u00e9n se ha usado para simular la rotura de v\u00f3rtices en tubos y para simular la aparici\u00f3n espont\u00e1nea de giro en dos tipos de flujos convergentes.  con el fin de caracterizar la rotura de v\u00f3rtices libres y la separaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica observada enciertos flujos giratorios se han usado soluciones de semejanza. Adem\u00e1s para completar el an\u00e1lisis se han realizado simulaciones num\u00e9ricas de estos flujos utilizando la aproximaci\u00f3n cuasi-cil\u00edndrica de las ecuaciones de
