El isobuteno es un compuesto que ha cobrado gran importancia dado que su eterificaci\u00f3n con metanol permite obtener mtbe. Actualmente, este compuesto est\u00e1 sustituyendo al plomo en la formulaci\u00f3n de gasolinas de alta calidad medioambiental.  en primer lugar, se realiz\u00f3 del catalizador base y de las condiciones de operaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s adecuadas para llevar a cabo la reacci\u00f3n de isomerizaci\u00f3n estructural de n-buteno.  una vez seleccionado el catalizador base, zeolita ferrierita (si\/al=20), se estudi\u00f3 la viabilidad de la isomerizaci\u00f3n de una fracci\u00f3n c4 procedente de las refinerias de repsol petroleo, s.A. En puertollano y tarragona. en dicho estudio se seleccionaron las condiciones de operaci\u00f3n que conducen al m\u00e1ximo rendimiento y selectividad hacia isobuteno (t= 400 c; whsv=5 h; p n-buteno =0,5 atm) y se analiz\u00f3 la estabilidad y regeneraci\u00f3n del catalizador base.  finalmente,se procedi\u00f3 a la modificaci\u00f3n del catalizador base (h-ferrierita), investigando la influencia de tratamientos como la desaluminizaci\u00f3n con (nh4)2 sif6, la deposici\u00f3n quimica en fase liquida (lcd) de sic14 y el intercambio ionico con metales alcalino\/terreos, sobre los parametros de reacci\u00f3n y las propiedades del catalizador. En funci\u00f3n de los resultados alcanzados, puede concluirse que las modificaciones del catalizador base en el sentido de reducir el tama\u00f1o de poro y la relaci\u00f3n centros \u00e1cidos bronsted\/lewis, mejora los parametros de reacci\u00f3n y se obtienen elevadas selectividades y rendimientos hacia isobuteno proximos al termodinamico desde el comienzo de la
