El analisis de las secuencias amplificadas indican que cada cepa poseia dos genes, ddle.Cass. Y vanc-2, y ddle.Flav. Y vanc-3, respectivamente, que codifican enzimas relacionados con las ddl ligasas. Los dos fragmentos internos de vanc fueron identicos en un 98%. El gen vanc-2 fue clonado en escherichia coli y secuenciado. Se detecto una elevada similitud (66% de nucleotidos identicos) entre vanc-2 y vanc-1 de enterococcus gallinarum, lo que hace presuponer que los genes vanc son necesarios para expresar la resistencia de bajo nivel a la vancomicina. La secuencia parcial deducida de aminoacidos de ddle.Cass. Y ddle.Flav. Fueron identicas y estrechamente relacionadas a la ddl ligasa de enterococcus faecalis (identidad del 79%). En los experimentos de hibridacion mediante southern, solo el dna de e. Casseliflavus y de e. Flavescens hibridizaron con sondas correspondientes a secuencias internas de los genes vanc-2 y ddle.Cass.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
