El objetivo principal ha sido analizar las propiedades del ion eu 3+ en los diferentes vidrios aplicando t\u00e9cnicas de espectroscop\u00eda optica, especialmente la excitaci\u00f3n selectiva con laser. Estas propiedades se discuten desde el punto de vista estructural de cada matriz particular y de la distribuci\u00f3n de entornos para los iones eu 3+.  en los vidrios analizados se observa una variaci\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica de un entorno a otro en la energ\u00eda de los niveles stark 7 f j, la intensidad de las transiciones electr\u00f3nicas , el tiempo de vida y la intensidad de campo cristalino. Todo indica que los iones eu3+ ocupan un mismo tipo de entornos en estos vidrios.  en vidrios de diborato c\u00e1lcico los iones eu3+ enlazan predominantemente con los oxigenos no-puente de las unidades bo3, mucho m\u00e1s flesibles que las unidades bo4 de los grupos diborato. Los distintos entornos presentan coordinaci\u00f3n pr\u00f3xima a 8 y se obtienen de la ditorsi\u00f3n progresiva de una estructura de partida, como el antiprisma bicapeado, el dodecaedro triangulado o el prisma trigonal bicapeado. Si se aumenta la concentraci\u00f3n de eu3+ se observan procesos de migraci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda con interacci\u00f3n entre iones de tipo cuadrupolo-cuadrupolo, asim\u00e9trica y dependiente de la energia.  en vidrios de fluorozirconato y de fluoroindato se tiene una distribuci\u00f3n de entornos para los iones eu3+ muy similar en ambas familias, aunque con mayor simetr\u00eda en los vidrios de fluoroindato. La excitaci\u00f3n selectiva de los iones eu3+ en entornos de alto campo cristalino muestra un proceso de excitaci\u00f3n simultanea de todos los iones eu3+ del vidrio.
