Los callos se obtuvieron mediante cultivo \u00abin vitro\u00bb de embriones inmaduros. Los tratamientos se aplicaron por un periodo de 60 dias. Se analizaron la tasa de crecimiento relativo, asi como los contenidos endogenos de poliaminas y aminoacidos libres. De los resultados obtenidos se puede deducir que: 1) el crecimiento es afectado por el estres salino en mayor o menor orden segun el genotipo; 2) la prolina exogena tiene un efecto positivo aunque limitado sobre el crecimiento. 3) la capacidad de acumular put endogena asi como spd y spm parece estar relacionada con un mejor crecimiento.
