Esta enzima es un ter\u00e1meroformado de 4 subundiades id\u00e9nticas de 59 kda y un peso molecular en condiciones nativas de 240 kda.El ph \u00f3ptimo es 7 y su temperatura \u00f3ptima se da entre 37-40\u00c2\u00bac. El valor de km es de 0,050 mm y el de vmax de 11,1 u\/mg prote\u00edna. Necesita mg2+ y la adici\u00f3n de dtt o edta para presentar m\u00e1xima actividad. Succinato e itaconato inhbien no-competitivamente a isocitratoliasa.
