Pilar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los transportes de az\u00facares en saccharomyces cerevisiae se inactivan durante el ayuno de fuente de nitr\u00f3geno cuando se halla presente glucosa. esta inactivaci\u00f3n, conocida en la literatura como \u00abinactivaci\u00f3n catab\u00f3lica\u00bb, enun proceso irreversible, dependiente de energ\u00eda, que afecta a la vmax y que sigue una cin\u00e9tica de primer orden. Mediante el uso de anticuerpos policlonales obtenidos frente a una prote\u00edna recombiante del trasnportador de maltosa, hemos demostrado que la inactivaci\u00f3n de este transportador es debida a su degradaci\u00f3n.  tambi\u00e9n en nuestro laboratorio se ha demostrado que la degradaci\u00f3n de esta prote\u00edna tien lugar en la vacuola tras su internalizaci\u00f3n por  endocitosis. utilizandomutantes en la v\u00eda de la ubicuitina (ub) hemos demostrado que la ub juega un im\u00f1protante paepl en la endocitosis del transportador, concretamente en la etapa de internalizaci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, sobreexpresando ubs mutadas incapaces de formar cadenas de ub en c\u00e9lulas carentes de ub libre, hemos demostrado que la \u00abmono-ubicuitinaci\u00f3n\u00bb, definida como la uni\u00f3n de una mol\u00e9cula de ub a una o m\u00e1s lisinas del transportador, es suficiente para de sencadenar la m\u00e1xima velocidad de internalizaci\u00f3n.  se viene asumiendo que la \u00abinactivaci\u00f3n catab\u00f3lica\u00bb de trasnportadores de az\u00facares distintos a los de glucosa es un mecanismo espec\u00edfico de regulaci\u00f3n que favorece el uso preferencial de glucosa cuando este az\u00facar se halla prsente en el medio. Nosotros hemos demostrado que esta inactivaci\u00f3n no es producida espec\u00edficamente por glucosa sino que otros az\u00facares, por ejemplo la matosa, desencadenan y sostienen la inactivaci\u00f3n con la misma eficcia que la glucosa.  este hecho y otros hechos observados en nuestro laboratorio sugieren fuertemente que la as\u00ed llamada \u00abinactivaci\u00f3n catab\u00f3lica\u00bb de los transportadores no es el resultado de un mecanismo espec\u00edfico de regulaci\u00f3n.
