En concreto, se realizo un ensayo con broilers, uno con terneros en lactancia-transicion y cinco, como eje central de la memoria, con lechones en fase de transicion. Los resultados obtenidos indican que la aplicacion del proceso de coccion-extrusion sobre fuentes proteicas vegetales, soja integral y harina de soja 48, aumento el potencial productivo de las dietas que incorporaban estos ingredientes. Por otro lado, la inclusion de cereales en dietas para lechones en transicion, tuvo efectos diferentes en funcion del ingrediente evaluado. Asi, la incorporacion de trigo o maiz extrusionados no reporto ningun beneficio en el crecimiento de los animales, mientras que la inclusion de cebada extrusionada tuvo un claro efecto positivo sobre los coeficientes de digestibilidad fecal aparente de los componentes mayoritarios de la dieta, que se reflejo en los rendimientos productivos de los mismos. La utilizacion de mezclas extrusionadas incluidas en las dietas y de piensos completamente extrusionados, en la alimentacion de lechones en transicion, no se tradujo en mejoras significativas de los rendimientos productivos de los mismos, a pesar de favorecer ligeramente la digestibilidad fecal de los componentes mayoritarios de las dietas. Contrariamente, terneros en fase de lactancia-transicion que consumieron un pienso completamente extrusionado, presentaron unos rendimientos productivos superiores, de forma significativa, respecto a
