Hemos estudiado el fenotipo linfomonuclear y la actividad dnaasa de proteinas de granulos de secreci\u00f3n y nucleos de estas c\u00e9lulas en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 1 en distintos momentos de la enfermedad. Se obtuvieron muestras sanguineas de 20 pacientes y 23 controles sanos. El fenotipo linfomonuclear se analiz\u00f3 mediante citomeria de flujo. La actividad dnaasa se determin\u00f3 cuantificando la digesti\u00f3n de dna gen\u00f3mico por proteinas extraidas de los granulos de secreci\u00f3n, citoplasma y nucleos de monocitos (cd 14+), linfocitos cd4+ y cd8+. Los resultados permiten distinguir dos grupos de pacientes. los del grupo a muestran alto n\u00famero de monocitos (p&lt;0,05) con marcadores de celula presentadora (hla-dr y cd16), bajo de cd4+(p&lt;0,05) y sus subpoblaciones naive (cd4+cd45ra+) (p&lt;0,01) y memoria (cd4+cd45ro+) y alto de linfocitos b (cd19+)(p&lt;0,05) y especialmente de la subpoblaci\u00f3n cd19+cd5+ (p&lt;0,05). el grupo b se caracteriza por una baja proporci\u00f3n de monocitos (p&lt;0,05) y alta de cd4+(p&lt;0,05). La actividad dnaasa en gr\u00e1nulos de secreci\u00f3n de monocitos fue mayor en este segundo grupo (p&lt;0,01). El estudio de las propiedades cin\u00e9ticas y peso molecular de las proteinas con actividad dnaasa de los nucleos de monicitos mostr\u00f3 la existencia preferente de proteinas acidicas de bajo peso molecular y otra de 40 kda y ph optimo neutro en monocitos apopt\u00f3ticos, sugiriendo un papel regulador de las proteinas con actividad dnaasa de los n\u00facleos de monocitos en su ciclo de
