Esta inactivaci\u00f3n, conocida como \u00abinactivaci\u00f3n catab\u00f3lica\u00bb, es un proceso irreversible que ocurre como consecuencia de la degradaci\u00f3n del transportador en la vacuola tras su internalizaci\u00f3n por endocitosis, en un proceso que requiere ubicutina. En este trabajo se ha investigado el papel de otros factores en la endocitosis de esta prote\u00edna.  las prote\u00ednas de membrana que llevan se\u00f1ales de endocitosis se concentran en ciertas regiones de la membrana de las que emergen ves\u00edculas. La formaci\u00f3n  de ves\u00edculas, tanto de secreci\u00f3n como de endocitiosis, requiere la participaci\u00f3n de una serie de prote\u00ednas de revestimiento. En levadura se han identificado tres tipos de ves\u00edculas que se diferencian tanto por su funci\u00f3n como por los componentes que forman su revestimiento. Utilizando mutantes deficientes en la cadnea pesada en la clatrina, as\u00ed como en varias de las subunidades de los complejos copi ycopi ii, hemos demostrado que la clatrina y las prote\u00ednas sec23 y sec24 del complejo copii participan en la endocitosis del transportador de maltosa. Estos resultados difieren de los obtendiso en el caso de la endocitosis del receptor del factor-a, que no precisa los componentes del copii.  se ha investigado tambi\u00e9n el papel del citoesqueleto de actina y de tubulina en la endocitosis. Para ello se han usado mutantes deficientes enactina y en las prote\u00ednas sac6 y abp85, que forman parte de los microfilamentos. tambi\u00e9n se han usado mutantes en
