Contrariamente, en las series de alcoxibenzonitrilos y alcoxinaftalenos, la reducci\u00f3n directa al electrodo conduce a la formacion de un ani\u00f3n radical que evoluciona en una etapa quimica consecutiva, de acuerdo con un proceso secuencial, a productos de rotura del enlace calquilico -o y cbencilico-o.  en los diferentes disolventes utilizados(dmf,acn,thf) y con diferentes electrolitos(tbabf4,licio4,cscio4), los productos obtenidos en la reaccion de rotura reductiva del enlace c-o son para las series de 4alcoxibenzonitrilo y alcoxinaftaleno respectivamente: el anion 4-cianofenolato y el radical correspondiente al fragmento alquilico del eter y el anion naftolato mas un radical. En resumen, no se ha observado un cambio importante en el comportamiento ni con la concentracion de sutrato, ni con el disolvente, ni con el electrolito.  los valores de los parametros termodinamicos(eo,d) y cineticos(k) obtenidos experimentalmente y que caracterizan la reacci\u00f3n de rotura mesolitica del enlace c-o, permiten establecer una relaci\u00f3n fuerza motriz-activacion que se ajusta muy bien a una relacion tipo marcus-hush. En todos los casos la cinetica del proceso sigue su termodinamica. El valor de la fuerza motriz depende mayoritariamente en esta series de eteres del valor de la energia de disociacion homolitica del enlace(d) y establece las diferentes observadas en la reactividad dentro de cada familia de eteres.
