La secuenciaci\u00f3n a ambos lados tanto del gen gl2 como de flar nos ha permitido indentificar tres nuevas secuencias codificantes mdetl1, trl1 y sprl1, cuyas correspondientes secuencias de amino\u00e1cidos presentan homolog\u00eda con transportadores de flujo de m\u00faltiples drogas, un regulador transcripcional y un regulador de ant\u00edgeno de superficie, respectivamente.  los estudios interespec\u00edficos llevados a cabo por hibridaci\u00f3n o por pcr demuestran que las secuencias antes mencionadas s\u00f3lo se encuentran en listeria monocytogenes y en listeria grayi, incluyendo a flar en este grupo de genes. la caracterizaci\u00f3n del mutante construido mediante la inserci\u00f3n del pl\u00e1smido pksv7 en el gen mdetl1 nos ha permitido realizar un an\u00e1lisis comparativo de la funci\u00f3n del gensalvaje con respecto al gen mutante, apreci\u00e1ndose una mayor sensibilidad de la cepa mutada lotm1 frente a eritromicina, josamicina y clindamicina, con respecto a la cepa salvaje lo28.  estas bombas de flujo exportan no s\u00f3lo antiobi\u00f3ticos, sino tambi\u00e9n otros compuestos t\u00f3xicos para la bacteria, tales como metales pesados, quedanto demostrado que la cepa lotm1 ten\u00eda una mayor sensibilidad frente a znso2, cocl4, y k2cro4. Otro compuesto t\u00f3xico para la c\u00e9lula es el bromuro de etidio, siendo posible medir el flujo de \u00e9sta sustancia, lo que nos permiti\u00f3 demostrar que nuestra prote\u00edna funcionaba como una bomba de flujo para dicha sustancia.  desde el punto de vista cl\u00ednico, este gen (mdetl1) es muy interesante ya que la resistencia antibi\u00f3tica de listerina monocytogenes se ha
