Los resultados muestran una inducci\u00f3n de las cumarinas, si bien \u00e9sta fue diferente seg\u00fan el tratamiento inductor y la cumarina estudiada. Las cumarinas se sintetizan en mayor cantidad en la parte a\u00e9rea que en la ra\u00edz, siendo la s\u00edntesis mayor en plantas adultas que en pl\u00e1ntulas.  cabe destacar la inducci\u00f3n diferencial de cumarinas en respuesta a la infecci\u00f3n por mildiu y por jopo seg\u00fan la resistencia o susceptibilidad de las variedades de girasol empleadas. Adem\u00e1s, a partir de los resultado de s\u00edntesis y traslocaci\u00f3n de las cumarinas y de la actividad de varios enzimas se discuten  aspectos del metabolismos de las
