Durante la formaci\u00f3n de ambas intercaras se desarrollan distintas fases desde el dep\u00f3sito de unos pocos \u00e1tomos hasta varias capas de material. al depositar si sobre la superficie del cu(110) se forman dominios de aleaci\u00f3n bidimensional con simetr\u00eda c(2*2) que crecen hasta formar una capa continua. para recubrimientos mayores aparecen sobre la capa de aleaci\u00f3n cadenas at\u00f3micas de si con simetr\u00eda 2*2. Se ha determinado la estructura at\u00f3mica tanto de la capa de aleaci\u00f3n bidimensional c(2*2) como la de las cadenas at\u00f3micas de si crecidas sobre la aleaci\u00f3n. Observando la morfolog\u00eda de la superficie en distintas etapas se han determinado propiedades de su modo de crecimiento. Por otra parte, se ha estudiado la adsorci\u00f3n y nucleaci\u00f3n de los \u00e1tomos de y sobre la superficie del si(111) depositados a temperatura ambiente y las estructuras que se desarrollan al calentar en funci\u00f3n tanto de la temperatura de calentamiento como del recubrimiento depositado. relacionando las im\u00e1genes de stm con resoluci\u00f3n at\u00f3mica, con la estructura electr\u00f3nica de la banda de Valencia medida mediante espectroscop\u00eda de fotoemisi\u00f3n resuelta en \u00e1ngulo (arups), se presenta un modelo para la terminaci\u00f3n at\u00f3mica de la
