En la actualidad, se hace necesaria la continua b\u00fasqueda de nuevos antibi\u00f3ticos con un mejor espectro de actuaci\u00f3n. la industria farmac\u00e9utica est\u00e1 interesada en sustituir las cl\u00e1sicas metodolog\u00edas qu\u00edmicas empleadas enla producci\u00f3n de los antibi\u00f3ticos denominados semisint\u00e9ticos por bioprocesos donde intervienen diferentes enzimas que pueden modificar los antibi\u00f3ticos naturales u otras mol\u00e9culas derivadas de ellos. La producci\u00f3n de dichas enzimas mediante t\u00e9cnicas recombinantes y la obtenci\u00f3n a partir de ellas, de prote\u00ednas de fusi\u00f3n que pueden ser purificadas y\/o inmovilizadas de forma sencilla, son estrategias deseables para facilitar la incorporaci\u00f3n de la tecnolog\u00eda enzim\u00e1tica a los procesos industriales. La d-amino\u00e1cido oxidasa(daao) es una flavoprote\u00edna que cataliza estereoespec\u00edficamente la desaminaci\u00f3n oxidativa de d-amino\u00e1cidos de cadena corta e hidrof\u00f3bicos generando el alfa-ceto\u00e1cido correspondiente, h2o2 y nh3. Dicha enzima tambi\u00e9n cataliza la biotransformaci\u00f3n de la cefalosporina c en el gl-7aca, una reacci\u00f3n que constituye la primera etapa del bioproceso para la obtenci\u00f3n del n\u00facleo b-lact\u00e1mico 7-aca, empleado en la s\u00edntesis de nueva cefalosporinas. esta tesis describe la clonaci\u00f3n de los genes tvdao1 u rgdao1 que codifican las daao de las levaduras trigonopsis variabilis(tvdaao) y rhodotorula gracilis(rgdaao), respectivamente. La presencia de istrones en ambos genes hizo necesario la s\u00edntesis de los cdna correspondientes con el fin de lograr su expresi\u00f3n en e. Coli. Se han sobreproducido las tvdaao y rgdaao recombinantes que muestran una caracter\u00edsticas semejantes a las de las enzimas nativas y se ha puesto de manifiesto que
