Luz <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Mediante hibridacion con el gen que codifica para la toxina del colera (ctxab) se ha clonado un fragmento de 2,6 kb del cromosoma de listeria monocytogenes. La secuencia de dicho fragmento desvelo la existencia de dos secuencias de lectura abiertas. La primera de ellas no mostro homolog\u00edas de aminoacidos con otras proteinas; sin embargo la segunda, sepa, es muy homologa a secuencias de e. Coli, m. Tuberculosis y p. Aeruginosa. La secuencia de p. Aeruginosa es una alquil sulfatasa y las otras no tiene funcion conocida. Se demostro que l. Monocytogenes no posee actividad condroitin sulfatasa en las condiciones utilizadas. Se construyo un mutante cromosomico de sepa mediante sustitucion alelica, este mutante se denomino lomlc2. La estirpe mutante presenta problemas de crecimiento de bhi, asi como alteraciones en la morfolog\u00eda (se observan filamentos y cadenas de bacilos, pero los septos estan bien formados; existen aberraciones de tama\u00f1o, de forma y estructuras seudovesiculosas en la zona del septo). En la estirpe mutante lomlc2 existe reduccion en la actividad n-acetilglucosaminidasa, mayor sensibilidad a antibioticos betalactamicos, especialmente a cefotaxima.  en cultivos de celulas epiteliales invade bien pero no prolifera.
