Esta tesis doctoral, ha supuesto el desarrollo de metodos de funcionalizacion selectiva de los hidroxilos fenolicos en calix\/6\/arenos como o-acil y o-metil derivados, ademas de la funcionalizacion de las posiciones para como sus derivados nitrados, mediante ipsonitracion de su posiciones relativas 1 y 4 asimismo, se han 1 y 4. Asimismo, se han realizado amplios estudios de resonancia magnetica nuclear sobre calix\/6\/arenos conformacionalmente rigidos sintetizados por union de las posiciones fenolicas 1 y 4 mediante moleculas puente como diaminopiridinas o fenilendiaminas. Por ultimo, se ha desarrollado la sintesis de un receptor de 9-etiladenina basado en una unidad de calix\/6\/areno que posee dos imidas de kemp en las posiciones anteriormente mencionadas responsables
