evoluci\u00f3n eclesi\u00e1stica de la ciudad de segovia durante los siglos xii, xiii y xiv, y divide sus contenidos en tres partes bien diferenciadas.  la primera, que abarca los cap\u00edtulos del uno al cinco, presenta una descripci\u00f3n general de las instituciones eclesi\u00e1sticas asentadas en la ciudad, esteo es, el obispo, el cabildo catedralicio, las parroquias y los monasterios,y ofrece una visi\u00f3n global el comportamiento religioso de los laicos segovianos.  la segunda parte, comprendida en su totalidad en el cap\u00edtulo sexto, se centra en el estudio de la relaci\u00f3n mantenida por las instituciones eclesiales segovianas con los otros \u00e1mbitos religiosos y civiles.  en la tercera y \u00faltima parte se presenta todo el aparato cr\u00edtico del
