Tambi\u00e9n realizamos estudios de microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica, y de funcionalidad de la vacuola en las cepas silvestre y mutante.  estudiamos la localizaci\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna mediante diversas t\u00e9cnicas, encontrando finalmente que la prote\u00edna est\u00e1 localizada en la membrana de ret\u00edculo endopl\u00e1smico.  estos resultados nos han abierto el camino para varios estudios, actualmente en curso, sobre el posible papel de ydl100p en la regulaci\u00f3n post-traduccional por degradaci\u00f3n de alg\u00fan transportador de metales, ya sea espec\u00edfico o de amplio espectro.  adem\u00e1s parte del trabajo se centra en el estudio de la funci\u00f3n atpasa de la prote\u00edna y su posible implicaci\u00f3n en la desintoxicaci\u00f3n de ars\u00e9nico en la levadura por su homolog\u00eda con la ars\u00e9nico atpasa de e.
