Jose <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Las cianobacterias son organismos procari\u00f3ticos capaces de llevar a cabo una fotos\u00edntesis oxig\u00e9nica similar a la que realizan las plantas superiores. son variadas las fuentes de nitr\u00f3geno que estos organismos pueden utilizar para su crecimiento: nitrato,nitrito,amonio e incluso, en algunas estirpes, dinitr\u00f3geno urea o amino\u00e1cidos.  haciendo uso de la secuencia del cromosoma completo de la cianobacteria unicelular synechocystis sp. Pcc 6803, nos dispusimos a buscar orfs presentes en la misma cuyos productos hipot\u00e9ticos mostraran homolog\u00eda con prote\u00ednas de otros organismos implicadas en el transporte a trav\u00e9s de membrana. Se generaron y analizaron los fenotipos mostrados por mutantes insercionales en las orfs seleccionadas. De este an\u00e1lisis se concluyo que el sistema nat responsable de la entrada al interior celular de los amino\u00e1cidos neutros en synechocystis sp. Esta constituido por cinco componentes diferentes, esta cianobacteria posee adem\u00e1s un sistema bgt implicados en el transporte de glutamato dependiente de sodio.  una vez en el interior celular, los amino\u00e1cidos pueden ser sustrato de las enzimas responsables de su metabolizaci\u00f3n. Para discernir ente los distintos destinos que puede tomar la arginina en synechocystis sp. Se analizaron los productos que aparec\u00edan despu\u00e9s de incurbar las c\u00e9lulas con distintos amino\u00e1cidos marcados con 14 c. Con el fin de determinar las actividades metab\u00f3licas responsables de la aparici\u00f3n de estos productos, se generaron mutantes insercionales en orfs que pudieran determinar enzimas implicadas en estos procesos. Mediante ensayos de actividad y estudios de producci\u00f3n de metabolitos marcados in vivo a partir de [14c]arginina y [14c]prolina se ha confirmando la identificaci\u00f3n de algunas de estas orfs con sus correspondientes genes, como en los casos de argf,puta y proc, y su participaci\u00f3n en el catabolismo de la arginina.
