Esta modificaci\u00f3n se manifiesta con una composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica diferente que no afecta solamente, a pesar de ser este el objetivo principal, a la reducci\u00f3n del contenido en azufre del carb\u00f3n, sino que se extiende a la modificaci\u00f3n de su contenido en cenizas, ox\u00edgeno y, de forma poco significativa, a su valor energ\u00e9tico. En este sentido, se ha determinado que el proceso genera un producto, carb\u00f3n desulfurado, con una menor capacidad contaminante, expresda \u00e9ste en g s\/gj.  por otra parte, se ha evaluado,utilizando t\u00e9cnicas termogravimetricas, el efecto que la viodesulfuraci\u00f3n del carb\u00f3n ejerce sobre la reactividad de los carbonizados obtenidos como consecuencia de su desvolatilizaci\u00f3n.  la modificaci\u00f3n del comportamiento en la combusti\u00f3n de los carbones tratados, con respecto al carb\u00f3n original, se evalu\u00f3 mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de la
