Mercedes <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En el presente trabajo se aplicaron t\u00e9cnicas histol\u00f3gicas a estudios sobre biolog\u00eda de peces para obtener informaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s precisa sobre la reproducci\u00f3n de tele\u00f3steos. A trav\u00e9s de dicho estudio histol\u00f3gico de las glandulas sexuales se identificaron los proflemas concernientes al uso de escalas de clasificaci\u00f3n tradicionales y la influencia de las mismas en la determinaci\u00f3n de diferentes par\u00e1metros biol\u00f3gicos.  el an\u00e1lisis histol\u00f3gico de las g\u00f3nadas de las especies del g\u00e9nero serranus presentes en las islas canarias(s. Atricauda, s. Cabrilla y s. Scriba) permiti\u00f3 determinar el modelo ov\u00e1rico y testicular de dichas especies. se llev\u00f3 a cabo la descripci\u00f3n del desarrollo del ovocito,identificaci\u00f3n y clasificaci\u00f3n de fol\u00edculos post-ovulatorios, caracterizaci\u00f3n de estados atr\u00e9sicos y el an\u00e1lisis de la estructura testicular. La ultraestructura del espermatozoide revel\u00f3 diferencias filog\u00e9neticas y ecol\u00f3gicas entre las especies objeto de estudio. El an\u00e1lisis microsc\u00f3pico proporcion\u00f3 la base previa para determinar la sexualidad, modo de fertilizaci\u00f3n y fases de ciclo reproductor de las especies.  por \u00faltimo, se determin\u00f3 la epoca de puesta, curva y tallas de madurez, y  se estim\u00f3 la fecundidad parcial, frecuencia de puesta y fecundidad anual en s.
