Se estudia la expresi\u00f3n de este gen por la t\u00e9cnica de rt-pcr usando unos cebadores que amplifican una zona muy conservada del gen fmr1&#8243;los dominios kh\u00bb. Los mismos cebadores se han usado para estudiar la expresi\u00f3n de este gen en distintas especies y distintos tejidos, la secuenciaci\u00f3n de la zona amplificada revela una homolog\u00eda del 85% entre las especies estudiadas.  se ha estudiado el efecto del no sobre la expresi\u00f3n del gen fmr1, el no liberado por inducci\u00f3n de la oxido n\u00edtrico sintasa(inos) o producido por dadores artificiales de no(snp,sin,snap) produce una inhibici\u00f3n dr\u00e1strica de la expresi\u00f3n del gen fmr1, esta inhibici\u00f3n se revierte por inhibidores de la inos. Y esta mediada por activaci\u00f3n de la actividad de la adn metasa, enzima y por lo tanto una metilaci\u00f3n de la isla cpg promotora del gen. el aumento de la actividad adn metasa por no puede ser por nitrosilaci\u00f3n ya que agente reductores revierten el aumento de la actividad metasa.  parece tambi\u00e9n que el efecto del no es directo sobre el adn metasa dado que esta enzima se activa en extractos nucleares incubados con no.  el complejo proteico represor en el cual participa la prote\u00edna mecp2(prote\u00edna que reconoce espec\u00edficamente a citosinas metiladas) que activa a las desacetilasas que desacetilan las histonas, compactan la cromatina y hacen no accesibles a los factores de transcripci\u00f3n, parece participar en la inhibici\u00f3n del gen fmr1 por no ya que inhibidores de desacetilasas activan la expresi\u00f3n del gen.  el efecto del no es sobre la adn metasa y no afecta a otras enzimas de otros genes de maintenimiento, tambi\u00e9n este efecto no es solamente sobre el gen fmr1 ya que inhibe la expresi\u00f3n de otro gen con isla cpg como el gen de hipoxantina foforibosil transferasa(hprt).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
