Se demuestra en este trabajo que la l\u00ednea celular sk-v de uan lesi\u00f3n premaligna vulvar, lleva integrado adn d ehpv-16 en el mismo clon cosm\u00eddico procedente de esa regi\u00f3n cromos\u00f3mica. con esto puede afirmarse que la integraci\u00f3n en este locus pal-2 es una alteraci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica recurente. Por ello es importante la identificaci\u00f3n de un gen que pueda verse alterado en este tipo de lesiones como consecuencia de la integraci\u00f3n viral, y que ayude en el conocimiento de los carcinomas cervicales.  como consecuencia de esta b\u00fasqueda se ha identificado una nueva prote\u00edna quinasa serina-treonina, llamada vrk1. Es una prote\u00edna nuclear que se autofosforila en m\u00faltiples residuos de serina y treonina. Vrk1 fosforila la prote\u00edna supresora de tumores p53 en su domino aminoterminal, concretamente en la treonina 18. Este residuo se encuentra en la regi\u00f3n que entra en el bolsillo hidrof\u00f3bico en su inhibidor mdm2. De esta manera la fosforilaci\u00f3npuede inhibir la interaci\u00f3n p53-mdm2 y por lo tanto impedir el transporte al citoplasma y degradaci\u00f3n de p53.
