El cuerpo central de la tesis consta de cuatro cap\u00edtulos. El primero constituye una introducci\u00f3n a los conceptos fundamentales asociados a la teor\u00eda de cuerdas. en el cap\u00edtulo dos se incluye una discusi\u00f3n general sobre las acciones efectivas de branas, tanto bos\u00f3nicas como kappa sim\u00e9tricas, as\u00ed como de sus simetr\u00edas. En el cap\u00edtulo tres, se discute la realizaci\u00f3n de dualidades sobre dichas acciones, dando especial \u00e9nfasi a la dualidad t sobre d-branas. en el cap\u00edtulo cuatro, se presenta una metodolgo\u00eda gen ral para la b\u00fasqueda de solitones en branas, describiendo la relaci\u00f3n entre el an\u00e1lisis algebraico, hamiltoniano y kappa sim\u00e9trico, se incluyen los c\u00e1lculos sobre el v\u00e9rtice bari\u00f3nico. Finalmente la tesis incluye tres cap\u00edtulos adicionales, donde se demuestran los resultados cohomol\u00f3gicos presentados en el cap\u00edtulo dos y se exponen diversos resultados ligeramente
