Muchos son los aspectos de la ingenier\u00eda fotovoltaica insuficientemente analizados en la actualidad y que adquieren relevancia en aplicaciones que deben se cada d\u00eda m\u00e1s fiables. La ingener\u00eda dispone de herramientas potentes que deben permitir una mejor predicci\u00f3n del funcionamiento de los sistemas fotovoltaicos, principalmente herramientas de simulaci\u00f3n que no han sido suficientemente explotadas en este campo. Por otro lado el dise\u00f1o y dimensionado de los sistemas pv se pueden ver muy beneficiados del uso de simuladores que incorporen modelos precisos y validados en el laboratorio.  este trabajo aporta procedimientos y resultados en dise\u00f1o y simulaci\u00f3n que han servido de base para desarrollar como principal dos algoritmos de control que optimizan la gesti\u00f3n de las cargas en una instalaci\u00f3n fotovoltaica aut\u00f3noma y permiten reducir el tama\u00f1o de un sistema fotovoltaico. El primer algoritmo tiene su principio de funcionamiento en la discriminaci\u00f3n de cargas en funci\u00f3n de su prioridad cuando la disponibilidad de energia es escasa,permitiendo prolongar el suministro de las m\u00e1s prioritarias. El segundo control a\u00f1ade al anterior predicciones de radiaci\u00f3n y consumo junto con una t\u00e9cnica avanzada de control, el control borroso, para conseguir adaptarse mejor a la dinamica del sistema. Estas dos controladores responden a la imposibilidad de utilizar m\u00e9todos clasicos de control para gestionar el consumo en un sistema fotovoltaico debido a su naturaleza no
