Sus acciones biol\u00f3gicas est\u00e1n mediadas por su uni\u00f3n a receptores acoplados a prote\u00ednas g (gpcrs) localizados en la membrana plasm\u00e1tica de las c\u00e9lulas dian. Estos receptores se encuetran acoplados a m\u00faltiples sistemas efectores, y entre ellos a trav\u00e9s de prote\u00ednas g (gs o gi) a la adenilil cilasa. Los resultados obtenidos muestran  que en el pulm\u00f3n humano, se expresa el arnm de los tres tipos de receptores para vip\/pacap (vpac1, vpac2 y pac1). En el caso del receptor  pac1 se observa la presencia de sus variantes de expresi\u00f3n \u00ab\u00bbnull2 e hip o hop. adem\u00e1s estos receptores se expresan con un peso molecular aparente de aproximadamente 70 kda, siendo funcionales en su acomplamiento a al adenilil ciclasa. Los receptores vpac1 y vpac2, se localizan en pulm\u00f3n humano en c\u00e9lulas blancas (macro\u00f3fagos y linfociots) y en c\u00e9lulas musculares lisas de vasos sangu\u00edneos. por otro lado, en las muestras estudiadas de c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n humano, se expresan los tres tipos de receptores de vip\/pacap, estos receptores son funcionales, pero est\u00e1n pobremente acoplados a la adenilil ciclasa.  con objeto de profundizar en el conocimiento de otros gpcrs y de sus mecanismos de transducci\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales, elegimos un tipo celular concreto como es el fibroblasto de pulm\u00f3n fetal humano. En los fibroblastos de pulm\u00f3n fetal humanos e expresan las subunidades altas y alba  i1-3 de las prote\u00ednas g, e , igualmente, los receptores de somatostatina sstr1-4 pero no el sstr5. estos receptores de somatostatina sstr1-4 est\u00e1n acoplados a la adenilil ciclasa a trav\u00e9s de prote\u00ednas gi. Por su parte los receptores beta-adren\u00e9rgicos de los fibroblastos de pulm\u00f3n fetal humano son funcionales y activan esta enzima.  por otro lado, hemos puesto de manifiesto que el ro
