Occidentalis realizada en el vector bifuncional multicopia yep13, y expresada en s.  cerevisiae se aislaron dos genes, scr1 y scr2 que determinan resistencia a cicloheximida. Los dos genes determinan resistencia ribosomal a ciclohexida a nivel de la subunidad 60s. En este trabajo se realizo el estudio del producto genico de scr1, una proteina de 547 aminoacidos, pi: 7.5 y peso molecular de 61040 da que contiene doce dominios transmembrana. La busqueda en los bancos de datos revelan la existencia de cuatro proteinas de caracteristicas similares con una alta homolog\u00eda a scr1. Estas proteinas involucradas o no en resistencia a antibioticos, con numerosos dominios transmembrana podrian ubicarse en estructuras de membrana. Utilizando el plasmido bifuncional multicopia yep356r se fusiono en fase el gen scr1 con el gen lacz. De e. Coli, para poder determinar la ubicacion subcelular de nuestro producto genico. Realizando ensayos de inmunofluorescencia y microscopia electronica de los clones de s.
