No se trata tanto de obtener unos resultados concretos, para unos estados determinados, como de entender como responde el hueso, desde un punto de vista mec\u00e1nico, ante variaciones estructurales o del estado de carga.  dada la complejidad del problema, resulta imprescindible llevar a cabo dicho an\u00e1lisis por una doble v\u00eda, la numerica y la experimental, de forma que se combinen la versatilidad aportada por los m\u00e9todos num\u00e9ricos con la aproximaci\u00f3n a la realidad que suponen los ensayos experimentales.  para asegurar la integraci\u00f3n de ambos m\u00e9todos, se ha recurrido a la tomograf\u00eda axial computerizada (tac), que permite reproducir fielmente la geometria del hueso utilizado para los ensayos experimentales. Esta correspondencia es fundamental a la hora de contrastar resultados, dada las variaciones morfol\u00f3gicas y estructurales que puede presentar un mismo tipo de
