Luisa Guardiola Medina <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La oslc es una enzima implicada en las ultimas etapas de la biosintesis de esteroles, m\u00e1s concretamente en la transformaci\u00f3n del (3s)-oxido de escualeno en lanosterol. Los inhibidores de esta enzima tienen importantes aplicaciones biom\u00e9dicas, siendo compuestos diana en el desarrollo de hipocolester\u00edmicos.  se ha estudiado la actividad inhibidora de la oscl de los 4 estereois\u00f3menos del (1,5)-sdo (2,3:18,19-disgoxi-2,3,18,19-tetrahidroscualeno), habi\u00e9ndose determinado que los m\u00e1s activos son los de configuraci\u00f3n (3s,18r,19r) y (3s,18s,19s), con ki de 21 y 76 nm respectivamente. Estos inhibidores son de tipo no competitivo y mixto-no competitivo-lineal, y en ambos casos reversibles. Asimismo, seha puesto a punto una s\u00edntesis convergente y estereoselectiva para estos dos compuestos, que permite la obtenci\u00f3n de cantidades suficentes para abordar estudios sobre la ciclaci\u00f3n de estos diep\u00f3xidos catalizada por la oscl.  finalmente, se ha desrrollado un ensayo inmunoqu\u00edmico de tipo elisa para la detecci\u00f3n de lanosterol, lo que permite la busqueda de nuevos inhibidores e la oscl mediante el uso de t\u00e9cnicas de qu\u00edmica combinatorial.
