El estudio del personaje se trata de hacer desde todos los puntos de vista posible biogr\u00e1fico, con un an\u00e1lisis de su m\u00fasica, un cat\u00e1logo de su obra conservada, y una parte documental m\u00e1s una bibliograf\u00eda.  la segunda parte de la tesis abandona al personaje, como hilo conductor del trabajo para centrarse en la capilla de m\u00fasica de toledo. Tras una introducci\u00f3n en la que se justifica la importancia de la catedral primada como centro religioso m\u00e1s emblem\u00e1tico y poderoso de la cristiandad en el mundo hispano, el autor se dedica a estudiar su capilla en todos sus aspectos musicales, haciendo un repaso a la evoluci\u00f3n y significado de cada una de sus secciones: magisterio de capilla, seises,cantores y ministriles(organistas, intrumentos de viento de uso tradicional, violones, arpistas y archila\u00fad, violines, oboes y flautas, tropas y clarines). Todo ello se complementa con detallados cuadros sobre todos los miembros de la capilla, y un exhaustivo vaciado de documentos procedentes de los archivos catedralicio y provincial de toledo.  los tomos ii y iii de la tesis contienen una selecci\u00f3n de 22 obras transcritas de jaime casellas en la que se recogen ejemplos tanto en lat\u00edn como en
