La inhibici\u00f3n de la pde4 y la interferencia con la movilizaci\u00f3n de calcio podr\u00edan ser los mecanismos responsables de ello.  la glaucina exhibe efectos inhibitorios sobre funciones de fmdp inducidas en leucocitos polimorfonucleares humanos; generaci\u00f3n de ani\u00f3n super\u00f3xido, producci\u00f3n de ltb4, liberaci\u00f3n de elastasa, elevaci\u00f3n de calcio intracelular y agregaci\u00f3n plaquetaria, as\u00ed como liberaci\u00f3n de peroxidasa en eosin\u00f3filos.  in vivo la glaucina rdujo la broncoconstricci\u00f3n inducida pro ant\u00edgeno, hiperreactividad de la v\u00eda \u00e1rea y extravasaci\u00f3n microvascular en cobayas sensibilizados. Tambi\u00e9n disminuy\u00f3 la epo en el lavado bronquioalveolar de los animales. Aunque estos efectos pueden relacionarse con la inhibici\u00f3n del pde4 no pueden descartase otros mecanismos como su acci\u00f3n sobre los alfa adrenoreceptores o sobre los canales de
