Existen dos isoformas de la cox. Una es inducible y la otra es consitutiva.  durante la diferenciacion celular de las celulas hel fiaclla megaclariocito observamos como se inducia la cox-i, a nivel proteico y de mrna. El aumento en proteina cox-i no se expresaba como actividad por lo que deducimos que se formaba cox-i inactiva.  las celulas hel representan un modelo alternativo a las plaquetas para el estudio de
