Este gen da lugar a un rna de 132 nucleotidos que probablemente actua como un rna antimensajero para la expresion del gen orf1. La orf1 codifica 99 aminoacidos para los cuales no se han encontrado proteinas homologas.  se realizo una libreria genomica de streptomyces lividans y se detecto un clon que tenia la misma
