La motivacion para la realizacion de este trabajo se encuentra en las posibles aplicaciones que tiene este material como aislante en futuros reactores de fusion asi como en fuentes de microondas de alta potencia. Para llevar a cabo este trabajo se han utilizado tecnicas experimentales basadas en metodos resonantes altamente sensibles en cuando a la medida de perdidas dielectricas. En esta tesis se hace una descripcion detallada de tales tecnicas. Para hacer este estudio se han utilizado muestras en forma monocristalina (zafiro), en forma policristalina (alumina), y muestras de alumina endurecida con circona, encontrandose diferentes comportamientos relacionados con relajaciones dipolares asi como con la contribucion intrinseca de la red cristalina.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
